We’re excited to present Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as our Spring 2025 9th-12th grade musical! Everyone is welcome to participate no matter what type of previous experience you have. We have kids who have been performing for years as well as those who have never been on stage before.

Our Spring season shows are performed on our outside stage under the stars (and sometimes sun!) We have a blast performing the shows outdoors, it provides its own set of unique opportunities and challenges. This will be our fifth season outside and there is nothing like seeing the sun go down and the lights come up on the stage and performers.

The cost for our performing arts class is for $100. This cost goes towards licensing, scripts, props, costumes, and more. A cast shirt is included.

Important Dates

Audition Prep Night (optional): Thursday, January 30, 2025 – 7:00pm – 8:00pm
Auditions: February 1 & 2, 2025
Callback auditions: Tuesday, February 4th, 2025; 6:30 – 7:30pm
Practices: Every Sunday afternoon (usually between from 3:00pm-7:00pm) and Thursday evenings (usually from 5:00pm-9:00pm) starting Sunday, Feb. 9th. Depending on your casted role you may not have to be at every rehearsal. We will send out a list each week of who will be needed.
Dress rehearsals: May 31st & June 1, 2025; tech week June 2-6
Show dates: June 7 & 8, 2025 – Exact times TBD. Rain date the following weekend.

Auditioning

Auditions will be held on February 1st & 2nd in 10 minutes increments at Jackson Church. Students will be asked to read for a character of your choosing, and sing a song listed in the audition materials. Please read/sing for the character that you would most like to play, even if you would like to play a part that is not listed. Everyone who auditions will receive a part, whether it is a main, supporting, or ensemble role! Video auditions are available for those who cannot make the audition dates, information is listed at the bottom of the audition materials page.

Parent Information

We’ll be having a cast and parent meeting before our first Sunday practice on February 9th. At this meeting we’ll introduce ourselves, outline expectations of our performers, go over the attendance policy, and more. Additionally, we’ll go over opportunities for parents to get involved. As an all-volunteer program, we need your help as a parent to make sure things run smoothly for the kids! We’re in need of volunteers through the season, whether it’s bringing in snacks, watching kids during practices, selling concessions on show nights, setup/breakdown, or more.
