We’re excited to present Godspell Jr. as our high school Spring 2024 musical! Everyone from grades 9th – 12th is welcome to participate, no matter what type of previous experience you have. We have kids who have been performing for years as well as those who have never been on stage before.

The cost for our performing arts musical class is for $90. This cost goes towards a cast shirt, scripts, props, costumes, and more.

Important Dates

Audition Prep Night (optional): February 1, 2024 – 7:00pm – 8:00pm
Auditions: February 3 & 4, 2024
Callback auditions: Thursday, February 8th – 6:00pm (if needed)
Practices: Every Sunday afternoon (usually between from 3:00pm-6:00pm) and Thursday evenings (usually from 6:00pm-8:00pm) starting Thursday, Feb. 8th (if callbacks are not needed, otherwise starting Sunday, Feb. 11th). Depending on your casted role you may not have to be at every rehearsal, we will send out a list each week of who will be needed.
Dress rehearsals: TBA as we get closer to the show dates.
Show dates: June 8 & 9 Our performances will be outside on our outdoor stage. Exact times TBD.

Auditioning

Auditions will be held on February 3rd & 4th in 10 minutes increments at Jackson Church. Students will be asked to read for a character of your choosing, and sing a song listed in the audition materials. Please read/sing for the character that you would most like to play, even if you would like to play a part that is not listed. Everyone who auditions will receive a part, whether it is a main, supporting, or ensemble role!

Parent Information

As an all-volunteer program, we need your help as a parent to make sure things run smoothly for the kids! We’re in need of parent volunteers through the season, whether it’s bringing in snacks, watching kids during practices, selling concessions on show nights, setup/breakdown, or more. We’ll be having a cast and parent meeting after our first Sunday practice, Feb. 11 where we’ll outline how we can use your help. We’ll also be talking about how we’ll keep in touch over the course of the season and other important information.
