About JAM

Who we are

Jackson Arts Ministry, also known as JAM, is an arts-based ministry at Jackson Church.  We offer a wide variety of arts programs with different classes and productions held each Spring and Fall. A significant emphasis on Christian faith is woven throughout everything we do.

What we do

Our goal at JAM is to provide a low-cost, accessible opportunity for anyone to participate in theater and the arts. Scholarships are available upon request for those in need. The program is completely volunteer-run, and all funds from registration, tickets, and concessions go directly back into supporting JAM. Each season, we hold performances for students in 2nd through 12th grade, with a place for everyone who auditions.

How we came to be

JAM began in 2012 as two separate ministries: a youth drama program and a child enrichment program offering classes like sewing and cooking. The program has grown over the years as more incredible volunteers have joined and contributed to its success. What started as two productions a year has now expanded into multiple age-based programs: Jr. Jammers (2nd–4th grade), Middle School (5th–8th grade), and a High School production (9th–12th grade). We are deeply grateful for the amazing volunteers and families who have supported us along the way.

Looking ahead, we have a vision to build our own performing arts center and to expand our offerings to include a special needs theater program and an adult community theater. We believe the arts are a powerful way to grow faith, build community, and share the love of Christ with the world.
