In this class, students will have the opportunity to explore the arts through lyrical dance. They will learn technique while also learning a routine for our JAM show in December. This fall the students will be doing a dance in the style of lyrical. The style of lyrical is about dancing to the meaning of the music. It is a flowy dance style that is a cross between jazz and ballet. They will also learn how dance can also be used as a form of worship. Classes will always start with a time of stretching and then will focus on teaching the lyrical routine to the students. At the end of the class, we will be recording the dancers for our Christmas Virtual Variety Show. Students will need comfortable clothes to dance in (ex: leotards, leggings, t-shirts, workout clothes, etc.). Students do not need dance shoes for this class, however it is recommended they get a pair of dance paws. This class is for students who are brand new to dancing or who have been dancing for years, all are welcome!
